Story pitch: Surrounded by trees and fog on a hillside is a live-in school. This school is created by a man named Gregory Edwin. Students describe him as a tall lanky man with red eyes and a crooked smile. Any time that he leaves, something horrible or unusual happens to one of the students. Inhabiting this school are creatures whose body is that of a human and it's head is that of an animal. The animal that they are is a reflection of their personality. The students are supervised by staff and put on strict schedules of when they eat, sleep, and play. The students are treated unfairly by staff and given harsh or unusual punishments depending on what it is they have done. The main character of this story is Lambi, a lamb born with only one eye. Throughout her life, she was treated like she was ill, and believed due to her birth defect of having only one eye is more prone to behavioral issues. All her life she had to learn to defend herself from those trying to attack her due to her appearance. She is humiliated by her peers or avoided altogether. She meets a lamb named Rosemary who becomes her best friend. Lambi has difficulty getting used to Rosemary due to never being treated with kindness before. The students through Rosemary learn that they do not need to fear Lambi unlike what they were taught to believe. Over time Lambi and Rosemary team up to plan an escape. Rosemary, Lambi, and the other students at Gregory Edwin's school face physical and mental challenges which they aspire to overcome.

2 Backup story ideas
1. While I was writing this story I found myself pondering whether Lambi's fellow classmates would eventually stop fearing her. I was thinking in an alternative story maybe Lambi's classmates don't stop fearing her which leaves Lambi and Rosemary on their own in their plan to escape. Some students don't want to escape. They like where they live and are content. Maybe this could give more individuality to background characters to express their opinions more. Other characters have tried to escape in the past but eventually were caught and punished. Some students have lost all hope in escaping, and don't even want to try anymore. Maybe they have gotten so used to their environment that it has become normal to them.
2. One other storyline idea that I had was making the school more similar to an asylum. Maybe behind-the-scenes experimentation on students is occurring which adds to the student's fear. The staff is unsure if their behavior is more animal-based or human-based since they are a mix of both species. The experiments would be done to see how similar to animals they are morally and physically and see how similar they are to humans morally and physically. The whole point of putting the students in this school was to see how they would react in a social situation but maybe the staff still wants to go even further with the experiment by studying their body structures and mental capacity.
